CAR RENTAL We recommend car rental to take full advantage of the many attractions in the vicinity - from Heidleberg  to neighbouring France, both a 3/4-hour drive away.
BY AIR Next Airports are:
Frankfurt (north)
Stuttgart (east)
Strasbourg (south)
Each is only 1 1/2 hours by car from Leinsweiler.
from   Frankfurt: at airport follow signs to Basel (south), at Viernheimer Dreieck (about 40 mins) follow signs to Kaiserslautern, Saarbrücken. Cross the Rhine River, follow signs to Neustadt (A65) then to Landau. Exit Landau Nord onto B10, direction Pirmasens. Exit Birkweiler.  Leinsweiler is the next but one village.
from   Stuttgart: at airport follow signs to Karlsruhe, at Karlsruhe (about 50 mins) follow signs to Landau (dual carriage way carries  you through Karlsruhe). Exit motorway at  Landau Nord onto B10, direction Pirmasens. Exit Birkweiler.  Leinsweiler is the next but one village.
from   Strasbourg: at airport follow signs to Strasbourg. Motorway (free of charge) passes Strasbourg, follow signs to Deutschland, Ludwigshafen (later on Landau). Dual carriage way until French-German border. Follow signs to Landau (15 mins on state road, then motorway). Exit motorway at  Landau Nord onto B10, direction Pirmasens. Exit Birkweiler.  Leinsweiler is the next but one village.
